My name is Jason Simkins and I consider myself to be a Calgarian now that
I have lived here for 6 years. I grew up in sunny Kelowna and spent a year
living in Mission (British Columbia). I moved to Calgary for love and to
build a brighter future for myself, please read on to hear more about my
I am a self-taught artist, dabbling in music, painting, cooking, design, and
am thrilled to be apart of this community. My earlier years were tough
and I struggled with health issues, but I soon learned that those health
issues only made me a stronger. I have made some mistakes along the
way, but have grown to apply my strengths and business acumen to my
life and art. I realise that life has ebbs and flows and people can come
and go. Remembering that family is paramount, both my chosen and
I love my life, family (chosen too), and my home. My only hope is that my
love translates into my art, and from time to time puts a smile on
